background and experience

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University in 2015.

After graduating, I worked in all levels of care for eating disorders through Center for Discovery, a leading treatment center. I use a Health at Every Size approach in my work with disordered eating while helping my clients navigate their relationships with food, body image and self-worth. I explore how diet culture has affected our ability to see our bodies as worth more than just a number on a scale.

During my time at Center for Discovery, I ran Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups and implemented DBT in my individual work with clients. I later joined an outpatient therapy practice specializing in DBT and I co-facilitated weekly DBT skills groups.

Over the years I have developed a deep understanding of Borderline Personality Disorder through working with a wide variety of clients. My goal is to explore the intricate landscape of trauma, emotional dysregulation and relationship conflict that contributes to the development of BPD. I also believe it is vital to provide my clients tangible tools to cope with and manage BPD.

I am deeply committed to guiding individuals towards resilience, healing and a deeper understanding of themselves. My approach to therapy includes utilizing warmth and humor to help my clients feel heard and understood. In addition to processing feelings and understanding underlying causes of issues, I also offer tangible tools and skills to help regulate emotions and improve your ability to cope with distress.
